Lincoln has the dubious distinction of being named the most unreliable automaker by Consumer Reports for two consecutive years, with 2021 marking the second consecutive year. Currently, it holds the unenviable position of being the second most unreliable brand after Tesla.
The Aviator, in particular, faces a myriad of issues ranging from airbags to overall electronics. Given its positioning as a luxury brand, maintenance costs are also expensive, estimated at $12,000 per decade according to Car Edge. That does not account for any major or unusual repair, which can appear quite often.
